This man is said to have a monthly income of 10 billion yen[1]. If he works 10 hours a day for 25 days a month, he would work 250 hours a month. If converted to an hourly wage, 10 billion yen divided by 250 hours equals 40 million yen per hour.
The position of interest is Chairman and CEO of a company called snowflake[2]. snowflake is a cloud service provider[3] and its selling point seems to be the ability to manage, access, and analyze data on a single platform at high speed. One user company, logitech, says that before implementing the platform, it took them only one hour to forecast the demand for their products, whereas before it took them three days.
With major companies such as NIKE and SONY as clients, the company was listed on the New York Stock Exchange in September 2020, eight years after its founding. They recorded a market capitalization of approximately 7 trillion yen on their first day[4] (current market capitalization is approximately 8 trillion yen[5]). However, the most recent sales were less than 30 billion yen, and the company was in the red.
He may be a prime candidate for the person with the "highest hourly wage job in the world."
