Can I install software on NAS [shared folder]?

Regarding the title, can you install software on a NAS [shared folder]?

For example, you can install a CD-ROM [software] on the NAS

Can the software be called up and used from both PC A and PC B?

Until now, I have been using the software by installing it on the C drive of my computer.

Mostly possible.

Mostly impossible.

In the case of Windows applications, when they are installed, they record other information about where they were installed.

If PC-A installs it on the NAS, PC-B does not record any information about where it was installed.

If you use such software, you can freely start it from PC-A or PC-B by specifying the executable file on the NAS.

After preparing a server PC and a client PC

The usual pattern is to purchase the required number of licenses of network-enabled software.
