The other day, such a senior was showing me a drawing of a house under construction and lamenting.
In order to install a surround sound system in the living room of his new house, he had a detailed discussion with an audio specialty store that designs home theaters, and asked them to draw detailed drawings of the positions of ceiling speakers, AV racks, wall-mounted TVs, and electrical outlets, etc. He gave the detailed drawings to the construction company that was building his house. The detailed drawings were given to the construction company that was building the house in advance.
However, when he went to the construction site, he found that the location of the electrical outlets and the openings to pull out the cables were not as per the drawings drawn by the home theater specialty store.
The senior asked the electrician at the construction site, "Isn't that different from the detailed drawings! What in the world did you see when you put the outlet here?" The senior asked the electrician, "What on earth did you see in the drawings?
When the senior asked the electrician to show him the drawings he had, he was surprised to find that they were plot drawings drawn by the construction company's architect.
A plot drawing is one that shows outlets, switches, lighting, etc., with symbols, and there are no TVs or AV racks drawn on it.
This is not a bad thing for an electrician.
It is the fault of the site supervisor of the construction company who did not look over the detailed drawings of the home theater that were given to him.
The site supervisor and electrician at the construction company may have done a lot of electrical wiring work on ordinary houses, but they do not necessarily have the knowledge about audio and home theater.
Only an audiophile would be concerned that bundling speaker cables and electrical indoor wiring (VVF cords) in the ceiling will degrade the sound quality.
Detailed drawings commissioned from home theater specialty stores are not free.
Naturally, my senior complained to the construction company and had them redo the drawings.
When I was single*, I remodeled the audio room in my parents' house.
When I lived at home before I got married, I was fortunate enough to have my own room.
It was also my audio room.
It was a 6 square meter western-style room with a veranda.
However, the veranda was on the north side of the house and did not get much sun, so I did not hang my laundry or do any gardening.
As the years passed and the house became old, it was decided to remodel.
My room was upgraded from a 6 square meter western-style room to a 10 square meter western-style room by removing the veranda.

As an audiophile, it was a great opportunity for my parents to renovate the house they had built (meaning on their dime), so I wrote my requests on a piece of paper, explained them to them, and gave it to the construction company to pass on.
My requests were as follows.
(1) I wanted the floor joists to be as random in pitch as possible to disperse resonance frequencies.
(2) I want the window sashes to be double-layered.
(iii) I want glass wool to be packed tightly behind the walls.
(4) The entrance and exit doors should be heavy and soundproof.
(5) We would like the power supply wiring to be dedicated to audio equipment.
(We also specified the location of the electrical outlets.)
However, the results were
(1) In response to (1), you said that the joists are a normal pitch, but the flooring is random?
The randomness of this flooring meant that the width of the wood flooring was only random in appearance.
I accepted it gratefully, just for the feeling.
(2) For (2), I had a plastic sash (inner sash) installed. (Not only in my room, but also in the living room, etc.)
This was a great solution.
First of all, there is almost no condensation in winter.
The air conditioning works well.
The sound coming in from the outside is much quieter.
As for the (3), when we looked at the construction site, we found that glass wool had been put in the walls where the former balcony had been added, but not in the original floors, walls, and ceilings.
When I asked my parents about this, they told me that it was because "the construction company said it was not necessary. Too bad.
For the (4), they put a lead sheet on a regular wooden flush door.
How did it work?
His mother came from the living room on the first floor and said, "It's time for dinner! Come on down!" was heard as usual. 、、、、
(5) The answer to (5) was rejected.
The construction work would be too difficult, so they said it was impossible.
However, the number of outlets and their approximate locations were as we had requested, and they were very useful for setting up the audio and AV system.
