「なりきりAI」の特徴は、そのキャラクターの個性を持って対話をするということだ。その「らしさ」を学習するにあたり、AI育成プロジェクトを立ち上げ、そのキャラクターの知識を持つ一般の人を募集。
「アマデウス紅莉栖」の場合、当選者は牧瀬紅莉栖と会話をするように聞きたいことを質問する。そして自分がした質問やほかの当選者の質問に「牧瀬紅莉栖が答えそうなこと」をなりきって回答。その後、ほかの回答者のこたえを見て「牧瀬紅莉栖っぽい」と思う回答に「ポイね! 」を押すという流れだ。
こうして、キャラクターの個性をもったAIが育っていくという。しかし、現状の「なりきりAI」はエンターテイメント目的で雑談対話を行う技術のため、受付や案内などを行うタスク対話はできなかった。
そこでこのたび、対話データの収集方法および対話制御モデルを工夫し、タスク対話と非タスク対話(雑談)を両立させるシステムを構築。これを「なりきりAI」に適用することで、親しみやすいキャラクターが雑談とタスク対話の両方を行えるという。
インタラクションを持つAI今回「なりきりAI」となるのは、精華町の広報キャラクター「京町セイカ」。対話データを、精華町の知識を持つ町民と精華町に行ってみたい・興味があるという人から収集し、「なりきりAI京町セイカ」の知識として集約した。このデータ収集方法は、従来の方法に比べ「正確性の高い情報」と「需要の高い情報」を低コストで得られるというメリットがあるとのこと。
また、これまで難しかった役場業務に関する対話を実現できる対話制御モデルを作成するという。役場業務には、町に関する非常に広範な情報の提供や案内が求められたり、ほかの窓口への引き継ぐなど深く情報をやり取りしたりする必要が出てくる。そこで広範かつ高度な知識を得るべくデータ収集方法を改善し、窓口業務に関する対話を実現できる対話制御モデルを学習する。
このたびの「なりきりAI京町セイカ」は、雑談はもちろん、観光案内や窓口受付ができるうえに、タスク対話の途中でも来訪者からの雑談や質問に柔軟に答えることができるインタラクションを備えているようだ。同実験では、「なりきりAI京町セイカ」が窓口業務の一部を補助できるかどうかを精華町役場にて検証する。
同実験の成果は今後のイベントなどで発表するとのこと。
