これまでの情報共有ツールと一線を画すAI自動整理型の社内Wiki「Nerve」は、そんな現状を打破する救世主となるかもしれません。
整理不要の情報共有ツール「Nerve」とは？Nerveは株式会社ビヘイビアが鋭意開発中の社内情報共有ツール。現在2021年8月31日のリリースを目指し、ローンチカスタマーを募集しています。
情報共有のベースは「ノート」と呼ばれるテキストファイルとなりますが、ノートにはMicrosoft Officeをはじめとしたファイルの添付ができ、特に画像や動画であればテキストの中に埋め込んで表示させることも可能。サービスはクラウドベースであるため、複数のデバイスからの利用、リアルタイムでのノートの共同編集に対応しています。
ノートを作成すると検知されたキーワードが自然に既存のノートと関連付けられることが特徴ですが、今後関連付けをさせたい単語には自ら「ノートを作る」の操作を行い、説明用のノートを作成することでAIが学習。議事録や社内のマニュアルなど様々な用途で書いたノートはAIが自動で整理し、Nerveの名が意味するとおり「神経」のように各ノート間にリンクが張り巡らされます。
表示中のノートの関連ノートとしてサジェスト表示される他、アクセス数順などのソートをかける機能が存在。必要な情報に自ずとたどり着く設計は、まさに人体における神経のように、情報共有を有機的で合理的なものにします。もちろん、フリーテキストによる検索も可能です。
最新の情報共有ツールを使用していても、階層式のフォルダ構造が複雑だったり検索速度が遅かったりして、情報にたどり着くことを諦めてしまう経験はないでしょうか。この点、CEO河又氏とCOO小野氏にNerveの開発における拘りについて伺ってみました。
我々創業者は世界中の完成度の高いSaaS（クラウドサービス）を一通り触っている「SaaS大臣」というYouTubeチャンネルをやっていることもあり、自社製品であるNerveに関しても機能面はもちろん、非機能面としてレスポンスの速度や明快なUIに特に拘りを持って開発に取り組んでおります。
検索向けに工夫されたデータ構造による検索速度やタグ付けの精度に自信を持つといい、認証機能はGoogleやMicrosoftアカウント認証のほかSAML認証にまで対応予定。セキュリティの考慮や利便性とのバランスまで意識されたプロダクトは、SaaSを使い込んできた両氏ならではのレベルの高さといえるでしょう。
暗黙知を形式知に。Nerveが実現する世界とはそもそも、Nerveを開発するきっかけ、既存の情報共有ツールに感じた問題意識を両氏は次のように話しています。
まず根幹にあるのは「暗黙知を形式知に」というコンセプトです。
既存のツールはどれもこれを実現するための情報整理が人間主体のままであり、ここに物足りなさを感じていました。具体的に言うと、人間による情報整理には三つの負があると思っています。
一つ目は、単純に整理に時間がかかること。
二つ目は、整理のルールが人やチームによって違うため、”整理されている=探しやすい”とは限らないこと。
三つ目は、整理整頓を頑張ろうということで「このノートにはこのタグを付ける、これはこういうフォルダに絶対割り当てる」等と厳密にルール化するとわざわざ合わせることが面倒になり「じゃあもうノート書かない」となる方が出てくること。
これらの問題を解決するために、AI自動整理型・社内WikiであるNerveを開発しています。
ベンチャー企業では日々飛び交う情報の整理や新しいルール作り、大企業では部署毎に異なり壁のある情報共有の方法、そしてそれに起因する「車輪の再発明」など、どんなタイプの企業でも情報共有における課題を抱えているものです。
COO小野氏が課題感を確かめるべく実施したという現場調査では、情報の整理に非常に時間がかかること、特定の社員に属人化された暗黙知の存在、社内での知見共有不足……。さらには、分類ルールの複雑性故に情報を提供することも探すことも難しいといった問題意識が寄せられたといいます。
これらのリアルな意見も踏まえたツール作成の試行錯誤を経て、磨き込まれたコンセプトが「チームの暗黙知を形式知に。整理不要の情報共有ツール」です。
情報が円滑に循環し人々が本質的な仕事に集中する。Nerveが実現を目指す世界はまさにITの本質の姿です。Nerveの今後のさらなる進化に向けた将来像を伺いました。
まずやりたいのは、ノートの提案をより賢い方法で行うことです。現状でも例えばGoogle Driveには、見ている曜日や時間に応じて適切なノートを提案する機能があります。この発想をより進化させて、見ている人の次の予定や今居る場所などに応じて適切なノートをレコメンドできたら、弊社の考える理想がより近づくのではないかなと思っています。
Nerveは組織の脳の中で司令塔の役割を担う神経のような存在を担うべく成長していくでしょう。もしかすると手作業による情報の整理に手間取る現代は情報社会の踊り場であり、Nerveこそが我々をその次のステージへ連れていってくれるソリューションかもしれません。
