Tire nuts, beware of rust = many accidents of large vehicles falling off - apply oil and tighten, MLIT. The idea is that cellulose nanofibers can be used in place of FRP for screws, reinforcing steel, and other metals, as well as for bathrooms, balconies, yachts, and other vessels, to prevent rusting! Cellulose nanofibers are 1/10 the cost of steel and carbon production. Cellulose nanofibers are 5 times stronger than steel and 1/5 the weight of steel. It is colorless and transparent, so it can be used as a substitute for glass. It seems to have better heat insulation performance than glass. Masahiro Ishizuka, web programmer and IT consulting.

Accidents in which tires fall off trucks and other large vehicles are becoming more frequent. According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, a record 131 cases were counted in FY2020, and 2 In FY2011, there were 107 cases by January. The rusting of the nuts that hold the tires in place is believed to be the cause, and MLIT is calling for proper maintenance, such as applying oil to the nuts.

The ministry's survey covered trucks with a gross weight of 8 tons or more and buses with a seating capacity of 30 passengers or more. The number of accidents has been increasing after bottoming out at 11 in FY11, and the number of accidents resulting in bodily injury has increased from FY11 to FY20. There were a total of 20 cases in the fiscal year.

According to an experiment conducted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism, when a tire weighing approximately 90 kg fell off a truck traveling at 60 km/h and struck a doll, the doll was blown approximately 4 meters away. If this actually happened, the situation would be life-threatening.

Wheels are held in place by bolts and nuts with doughnut-shaped "washers" between them. The MLIT has identified several cases of rust and dirt on nuts with washers in large vehicles that have fallen off since the fall of 2009. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) has identified several cases of rusted or dirty nuts with washers on heavy-duty vehicles that have been involved in accidents involving nuts falling off since the fall of 2009.

In an experiment conducted by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association, when muddy water was put between the washer and nut and the nut was repeatedly tightened, the holding power weakened, and further corrosion reduced it to about half of the initial strength.
