U.S. aircraft giant Boeing announced on April 10 that it had resumed shipments of its halted 787 midsize aircraft for the first time in about one year and three months. The company had received a quality-related point of view from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The aircraft was delivered to U.S. airline giant American Airlines. Boeing was in the red in 2019 and 2008 due to a series of crashes of the 737MAX small aircraft and a drop in demand due to the Corona. 21 was the third consecutive year of losses after posting a huge related loss due to the suspension of shipments of the 787. The impact on Japan will be significant, as Japanese manufacturers are responsible for key parts of the 787s. (New York: Takao Mami)
