The advantages are

Fast initial development speed, fun to develop.

The disadvantages are

No one can maintain the system except the first developer himself.

The negative legacy is so large that many companies go bankrupt.

The remedy is to use Rails.

You can take a system developed in Rails and develop it in Python with FastAPI based on the design specification.

As of August 2022, there are many projects to replace (rewrite) the system developed in Rails with Python's FastAPI based on the design specification.
