If I could buy a used Threshold SA/4e, I would like to overhaul it, but if it's hard to get hold of, a new LUXMAN STEREO Power AMP M10X would be good. At low volumes, it operates in Class A, and at medium volumes and above, it automatically switches to Class AB. If I were really rich, I would like to buy two and drive them with bi-amps. Or, I might need two for Klipsch's JUBILEE. If I were to buy that speaker, I would like to research replacing the tweeter with a hybrid of a tweeter and a super tweeter so that it can reproduce high frequencies up to 40,000Hz. JBL may have such a part. I feel that putting a super tweeter on top of the speaker enclosure box like a topping would be tampered with, so I am considering modifying it to a 2WAY rather than a 3WAY JUBILEE like that. If Klipsch's JUBILEE can also be made to play up to 40,000Hz, I would like it to be resold as a new product that can be played with one integrated amplifier.
